I am just finishing up the Berserk Battlestar. Here are a few pics with it along with the 3 ft. Galactica I've been making slow progress on.

& another view. Still a long way to go on the Galactica. It's going to be the centerpiece of my collection, so I'm taking my sweet time with it. Hope to keep posting pics as it progresses.

Here is my first attempt at Serenity. It has been such a learning project. I am planning to build another one soon, hopefully without so many mistakes. That is the beauty of these paper models. If you mess up, you can always build another! :)

Serenity is not part of the fleet, but she's been a pleasure to work on. Here is a pic of the Geminon Traveler (minus 2 engines). Almost done with it.

Thanks! They are so fun to build. The true talent though is with the guys that designed these templates. The attention to detail is just amazing! I appreciate the hard work all you guys put into these models, & making them available for the rest of us. My wife thanks you too, cuz now I have a hobby that is fairly inexpensive.

Nice beginning! I too like the Serenity. It is a ship that when one looks at, it seems obvious. :)

Thanks for the links Sky Seeker. The Defender & the Prometheus are on my to do list in the next few months. I love the progress pics you've posted on those 2 models, & I will definitely refer to them while building mine. They look really good! I've already built the TOS Galactica, but mine isn't nearly as clean looking as yours. ( it was the first paper model I started with)hope to build another one soon. Sorry my pics aren't the best quality. Hope to post some better ones as I finish these models. Sometimes I forget to take pics as I'm working on them, I'll have to work on that too. I really like the way you took pics for each step of the assembly. I'm still trying to find my way around the forums. Thanks again!

    Chadepotts,

Actually, Revell Fan was my inspiration doing his Triangle ship.

    http://zealot.com/threads/battlestar-galactica-andrew-proberts-triangle-ship.178525/page-2

He shows a whole bunch of steps. DanBKing does a few things like that as well.

Of course Zathros is the MASTER. He's kind of like our version of Yoda. Revell Fan is like Obi Wan. Spaceagent and DanBKing are pretty good too. Cylongirl is REALLY good. Doc Tom is really good with the train scenery as well as MANY others on this forum you'll meet over time. Keep in mind I'm still pretty new to this as well.

My next model after this is probably going to be from Babylon 5. I'm still looking for a good Vorchan model (my icon in the corner). That might be my first model I design. Don't know yet.

The Prometheus was a tough one. It had no glue tabs and I had to reference pics around the web to get an idea what was supposed to be where, etc. Sometimes the initially obvious is not so obvious and what you think is hard becomes easy. Don't know why it works like that ..it just seems to be sort of a crazy reverse perspective some days.

Your pics BTW are just fine. Keep up the GREAT work.

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg The first 4 pics of this set are of the finished Berserk Battlestar. Note the entrance to the flight deck on the underbelly of the midsection. The 5th pic is of the completed cockpit bubble of the Geminon Traveler. Please pay no attention to the rough edges. This was one of the first models I started on about a year ago when ai was very green & I'm just now getting back to it. The 6th is the mini colonial shuttle, & the last pic is of the beginning stages of the Celestra.

I love seeing space ships with other ones together in the same scale. It really gives perspective. If you (Dan) need anything for the Vorchan, I can help, (maybe), I can figure out hard parts sometimes. The nose of the A90 Ekranoplan was the hardest, because of the real one's unique distinctive shape, if it wasn't close, it just wouldn't cut it. The limitation is paper, if I made that one section out of aluminum flashing, I could make a dye to stamp out the panels, and make it much like the original, but with paper, this is really as close as I could get. :)
