Hello everybody,

I wanted to share with you my build of Rey’s Speeder

This is my second model from UHU and I enjoyed the build.

So here it is in no particular order.
I started with this Panel first. I enhanced a view parts with an additional layer of card to raise them.

024.jpg 025.jpg 030.jpg 047.jpg 048.jpg 052.jpg 100.jpg 105.jpg

At this stage this part (Back-panel ?) is finished.

Next i built the engine cores

and the engines

The Tubes on the inside of the speeder are done so far. The small parts will follow later.
Now the parts on the outside.

Here is one of the cores completed. Unfortunately, i have no pictures of the second one at this stage but it's almost the same.

And here are the covers for the enginecones

In Between i built the connecting parts for the cores

I temporarily connected the cores.
After dry fitting and aligning several times I finally glued them together

I used the Back-panel and the Front-panel for help to keep the distance and the alignment.

You are off to a GREAT start on this project!
I do have one question. Do you use any kind of treatment, like varnish, lacquer or clear coating on your parts sheets before assembly? The reason why I ask, is that the parts look like they are professionally printed.

This build looks terrific so far. And I'll echo RB's statement. the print quality looks great as well, especially the metallic finishes.

Thank you all for your kind words,

@Rhaven Blaack and micahrogers
No. I do not use anything like that. I guess it's the paper-printer combination.
I use this paper

and an HP Color Laserjet Printer and i'm very pleased with the print quality from this combination.
Only downside is the typical problem with laser prints. The colour will peel of if i work the paper too much or at tight bends (small tubes....) but that's OK.
I can always print it out again or use lighter paper or even normal copy paper if necessary.

Thank you very much bigpetr, but your work is also extraordinary.
Your A-Wing build gave me ideas which i implemented in my build of it. That thread will follow later.
