i have just started the build of the space core from portal 2, i designed the template myself and this is a first test build so there may have to be some changes
this is my progress so far
this will make the side of the core and it should have a diameter of about 13cm

i have now made the two sides
i think i am going to make all of the inside bits and then wait till the end to fit these around but i am not really sure, i would like to paint the inside of these black but dont have any paint atm, tim peake's launch has made me really excited about space though so this cannot wait

Very interesting. It reminds me of the "Heart of Gold" from the movie combined with the drone from "Oblivion".

Very interesting. I would look at Dan's Water forming technique before I went much further, that, or conical shapes to form the outside shell, this would give a much rounder appearance.

i havent gotten that much further on building it because i did the inside and it just wasnt going very well
and i never got around to thinking about how to change it
