One of my locomotives with pre-installed dcc/sound stopped making it (sound) a few weeks ago.
Initially I blamed the decoder, although all motor and light functions were still working. To determine for sure if that was the case, I switched decoders from an identical locomotive and installed it on the faulty one - still no sound. Alternatively, I took what I thought was the faulty decoder and installed it in the locomotive that had no problems - it still made sound.
This is obviously not a decoder problem and most likely is a speaker fault. How do I determine if the speaker is good or bad? I'm assuming the latter, but want to do some tests to confirm. I just don't know how!
Thanks,
Matt
