Some may call me weird but I do like these pink hoppers. We have six built, two ready to build, decals for one more, and are looking for more. My five year old (at the time) daughter got me into them. She loves to run her train of pink hoppers.

Here are some photos of them. As you can see the layout is a work in progress.

Seems I remember that years ago, Lionel marketed a train set for little girls that was all pink...?
Anybody remember that?

Tom,
I think those pink hoppers are pretty cool!

Charlie K-Line has a set called the Girls Train. It has a pink steam engine and the cars are all in pastel shades of blue, pink, green, and purple. My daughter saw it at one of the shows and likes. Big problem the price: $500.00.

I mentioned in another thread awhile ago remembering seeing pink covered hoppers for the Klemme Co-op when I lived in Iowa 25 years ago. They were very distinctive but I liked them. Run 'em with pride and enjoyment Tom. You're a cool Dad!

Glad to see that your getting the family involved.
Both of my kids got their own train sets when they were 3 years old. You do not have to guess what my 3 year old twin grandkids are getting for Christmas this year.
