This is looking toward the engine service track on the PRR..This was in the Cleveland Ave yards in Columbus,Oh..The year is 1964.

Notice the hump rider on the covered hopper.

jbaakko, who makes the palm trees? I need some of those for my layout!

Those are Pegasus Hobbies trees, they come 3 to a box, shiny plastic. The shorter 3 are 7 3/4" tall, and the taller 3 are 8 1/2" tall. So they're good for HO & up. However, Woodland Scenics and Grand Central Gems also make some.

EDIT If anyone knows of any more kit palms, please link them, I need quite a few myself, and don't want them all the same!

The two Challengers and BigBoy is HO and owned by a visitor at the museum who stop by to run them. His layout isn't large enough to run them on like this.

I also have the Challenger and also Alleghany in O gauge !

Hey Guys,
I thought I would jump in with some pictures of my service yard area. This area is the nearest to being complete. Seems like every time I get to a point where that it looks finished I end up ripping it up and starting over. But I like the way this is turning out.

hi all---great shots everyone---since i've discovered different modes on my digital camera,i've been taking a lot of pictures using sepia---i'm still not sure whether i prefer colour or basic black and white---you be the judge
