Hey all, Here my first steps in building papercraft models. I start with the Tie interceptor.

I really liked to build this model. After this model I designed and build several Tie variants.
At the end I have made my own Sphere thats looked much better then the UHU imho.
Also when I comparedg the Interceptor template with the studio model I missed a lot of details.
So I decided to give the existing template an update. The benefit of this is that I can make some new templates for
several different Interceptor models.

I'm working on the last few parts and then the first template is ready.
I gone try something out with the sphere to get it more rounded.
Now I'm using 12 petals, I will try to make a sphere with 24 petals and see how this works.
Recoloring for the other variants is very easy.

Template is ready and contains 16 pages. I will start building after finishing the shutle.

I upgrade the in and outside of the wing so its now more studio model look a like.
All parts have the mijob Tie colour.
I am using my new sphere added the fuel tank, laser compartment and the rear reactor all parts that I used with the Raptor

And we can start building the first interceptor. I have made some minor changes in the templates. Below you can see some pages of the template.

Most of the build you have seen when I build the Tie Raptor. I will show only the fineshed parts instead of the build progress . Yes I will take pictures for the building instruction. So lets start cutting and gluing.

Thank you. I started with the sphere and the cockpit interior. All cut and glued.


Next are the fuel hatch and laser compartment. All parts are cut and waiting tobe glued.

Hahaha yes indeed there is more to come.
I still have a few other Tie in mind. But first this one and afcourse some new parts for the DS those I design in the evening. So still lots of work in progress.

Thanks guys. And I have finished the top hatch. Below some shots and this time with clear plastic windows in it.

Now I will start working on the rear side. So keep an eye on the next update.

I really like the new canopy! The clear windows give a bit more "life" to the model as a whole.
