well after 5 long years on the army, it is time to go home. Tenino (near olympia) is my new/old stomping grounds. so here is the question: what are the GOOD train shops in the area now? when I left their wasn't any. the best one near by was a place called "great things and trains" but it has been closed for close to 10 years now. I am planning on designing and building a 2 level room sized layout in the near future, representing the Northern pacific's "prarie line" from tacoma to Tenino Junction.

well gotta run.

Did a search for hobby shops in your area and came up with this:

PACIFIC SCALE MODELS 503 CHERRY ST SE
OLYMPIA, WA Ph: 360-352-9261
You might try other towns in that area by going to:

http://www.hobbyretailer.com/

I would, but I'm not familiar with that area.

Good luck,
