Can someone please tell me what is the minimal distance needed to
raise the tracks eleveation one inch ?

25" for a 4% grade, which seems to be a recommended maximum grade. :thumb:

a lot depends on what type of equipment you going to run if your running a PA you need a slow rise say 1 inch in 30 inches if you doing a logging road with geared locomotives you can do 1 inch in 1 foot and be ok.
