Coming along nicely - very clean build!
Outstanding work on those guns and other details!
Finished boats and plane
Excellent stuff! She is looking beautiful.....
Wow, that's some really beautiful work Padre!:thumb:
Steady, precise, progress! Now thats'a reeeeal, nice!
Are there any great free Carrier's or battle ships out there? if so I would appreciate the direction.
Thanks in advance.
Padre, fantastic build. Can I ask how good are the instructions? Are they 3d or 3 view? Detailed enough to let a "ship newbie" attempt something like that? What's the maximum size paper that you need? Anything bigger than 8.5x11?
I'm really digging the Savage and Selfridge. Thanks for any info you can give.
Instructions are pretty good, everything prints on letter (8.5x11) paper. With all ship builds there are easy and difficult parts but should do fairly well for a experienced beginner. I suggest that you look at Digital Navy freebies.

Yeah, I have all of these already. I build the Krakus (see my build thread). I was looking for a larger type ship. I guess that is expecting a lot considering what it must take to design one.
Thanks for those links, Padre! The Graf Spee looks like just the ticket to get my feet wet.:thumb:
Took a break from building the Repulse and built this free train from Kartonmodell-Forum | Portal
Picking up where I left off some time ago. finished cranes, plane and some gun mounts, now to go to the other side. Picking this thing up and swinging it around takes room like swinging a cat. I am down to details, masts (fore and aft), forward detail (anchors and chain), rudders and screws. Finished stand so I can work on latter later.
I love your way of resting from paper models... more paper models.
Forward mast done as well as another view of plane. Round plastic used and super glue.
Nice work Padre. I'm glad you started this thread back up again. Thanks for sharing this wonderful model.
Repulse is a great ship and GreMir has done an excellent job with this model. I've got to build this some day!
Aft mast and a few guns completed. I do not plan to fully rig the masts as I hate rigging from the wooden models I finished. Will just put enough on to make it look good.
Finished one side of stern screws and rudder.
Putting on ships lifelines now, cutting out of paper is taking time. Also adding things I missed or not on the instructions.
These cannons seem to be menacing. Great build so far.
The workmanship is excellent! Nice lookin' ship. Are those hand-cut railings? Or laser?
