Hi everyone,

I thought I would share some of the progress on my Nova Scotia Northern. I've decided to try and "finish" one end of the layout before completing basic scenery so I can have a bit of a break. There will be a Paper Mill and a small dock on this branch, I have to figure out how to make N scale lobster pots! Any suggestions or comments are more than welcome.

last one so far

here is the current state

I need to detail this more, maybe add a boat and really clean up the water etc. I also need some of the small details and blend things together. The building is just temporary but its something for now. I'm also not sure if the trees work, I'm not really that happy with them.

Great pics grumbeast. :thumb: :thumb: In this picture is the gray stripe a side road? At first I thouught that it was a river but there was no bridge. I just wish my layout was progressing as fast as yours. :( Have finally got the plans finalized, next step is to clean out the room an figure out where to put everything.

yeah, the grey stripe is a side road, although that part does need quite a lot of work. There has been some progress with a retaining wall I haven't photographed yet. I'm waiting for more pocket money as I've run out of plaster cloth :)

Great Progress! Only thing I see missing is some billboards advertising Keith's Beer and Chris Bros. Pepperoni! Just visited Halifax twice this summer and really enjoyed it! (friend of mine lives in Moncton NB) I thought more than once while there that it would make a wonderful setting for a layout. My mouth was watering when I envisioned modelling the intermodal yards on Halfifax harbor!
