I have 2 Life Like Proto N locomotives. The parts-lists mention a number for the grease used to lubricate the gears but my LHS doesn't has it.
Who else sells oil and grease for N scale locos ?

Labelle makes a good line of plastic compatible greases and oils.

Thanks for the info Andy,
The Credit Valley Railway Co. in Mississauga is a Labelle retailer . I'll get the grease from them.

You can mail order from my favourite local shop - just south of Ottawa:

Jeff at www.larkspurline-trains.com

If he has some in stock, if not, he can order. Get the light oil for Nscale, or so I have been told.

I found that info on the Labelle website:
#0430-001002 Labelle Lube Kit #2
Comes with one each of the following Labelle #'s 102, 108, and 106. Use for "N" or "Z" Size trains
102 and 106 are oil and 106 is grease.

I'll check the link at
www.larkspurline-trains.com
Thanks Andrew

I like the grease that has teflon in it; I don't know if does any good.
You should find it at a good train shop in Montreal.

Labelle # 106 grease has teflon.
Woodland scenics has grease with teflon: p.n. HL 657, they have a complete lub kit too.
Imho, any grease used in RC cars should fit the bill too.
