Ultra low-density construction makes Taskboard

very easy to cut - Just one pass of a blade will produce a
clean cut and an edge that is identical to the surface
in both color and texture - perfect for invisible joints

Natural and biodegradable Taskboard is made of
sustainable forestry wood and can be sanded just like wood
Unique fiber stratification process ensures structural stability
yet enables forming over steam

Create strong glue bonds using any glue, including white
glue, hot glue or solvent based glue
Color Taskboard with any water or solvent based paint,
stain and finish. Taskboard's color temperature of ISO 62/62
degrees makes details, shades, and shadows look great in
photos when unpainted.

Seems similar to the material my wife uses to make therapy castings for hands and such. I've wondered about using it for model making, but I didn't know if they made any thin enough to effectively use on a railroad layout.

Cool deal! Thanks for the linkage :)

I just got mine today too, I am not sure what I was expecting, it pretty much matches up to play-doh's description. Not enough to do anything with in the sample pack, maybe we could make that into a challenge =]. It does seem very plyable which could be useful. I will play with it too and let you know,

Got mine. Interesting material. Almost feels like fuzzy card board. I actually got two sets. I thought I messed up my first order so I ordered again.

I think I want to try my hand at scratch building. I need a garage....
Ahhh
should I just start hacking away or is there a starter guy for newbies?

Coincidentally, mine was waiting at home when I got there...! Two sheets about 4x8 (sent in a business sized envelope. Not much to work with, but looks very interesting, especailyy if it behaves as advertised - paintable, no warping, sandable, easy to cut.
