Here is a "FYI" follow-up on a previous thread concerning the proposed "scrapping" of the Boonville Bridge over the Missouri River (by the Union Pacific).

The Missouri Attorney General is not trying to block UP from "dropping the bridge", and the residents of Boonville and Columbia are also trying to block UP's action. I was at a train show there recently, and the bridge was the hot topic !!!

The bridge is part of "the Katy Trail" and it sure is an impressive mass of steel.
