I was wondering if there are any resourses out there that can help with different techniques and if there are any "how-to" videos.

Also, what are the best on-line stores for palm trees and light fixtures.

It's been really hard trying to find this stuff so any help is much appreciated.:)

I used to make architectural models years ago. Never had to deal with palm trees, since I worked for a shop in Seattle and we were into conifers. If you go to an architectural model supply, you will pay premium prices for things like trees. There was an article in either Model Railroader or Railroad Model Craftsman a few months ago on how to make palm trees but I didn't pay much attention. I have seen ads for ready made palms in both of the above mentioned magazines. Likewise for the lights.

One of the Shreiber designers - Alvar Hansen - has written an excellent book on card modelling. You may like to try
