I am new at this too, but I live very close to Digitraxx home office and have checkes them out quite well. Their switching system is good, but their hand held controllers are not as "user friendly" as some others. What I mean by this is that they are not "Instintive" controls", you have to learn how to use them. They are not controlls that you can hand to your friend and let him or her go at it without a good amount of instruction. All their features, including switching work well.
