Nice pic! Good morning, up early and thought I better stay up so I get good sleep tonight. TTFN
Morning. Rains off and on. Nothing big but good soakers. Better than last year when we had NO rain. Hope all have a great day.
I came across these sitting on a siding in the Leesville railyard. Anybody know what they are?
I don't have a clue.
Weather here is still unsettled, been raining off and on since Thursday. Last I looked out it was raining pretty hard, which is not a bad thing. We had a wet spring but the last month it has been dry and the grass is looking like August already. Field crops will be glad for every drop they get.
We have an interesting problem to deal with. It seems that the drain line from the second floor bathroom has developed a leak. With only two of us that is no big deal, but next week we will be having three house guests so we need to get it fixed promptly. Depending on where it is located could be a major job. Will call the plumber today and try to get lined up for first thing in the morning or ASAP.
As I tell Jean often, just another of the joys of home ownership!
Nice park Scene, Jeffrey.
Jeffrey, They are parts for wind turbines. The parts in the first picture are the hubs that the blades fit into - I think, don't know what the others are. Do a Google on the car numbers.
The other parts are the housings for the generators.
Afternoon all. The middle boy dropped my work laptop last evening and I've spent the day after church putting the keys back in... Tough to type without the 1 key... and the letter O... Finally got hot here today. Kudos on the layout photo.
Dang, I couldn't figure that pic out Jeffrey, very good John! Now it is all clear! Doug, bummer man, I hope you don't have to pay to get it fixed!
They would make some interesting loads for anyone modeling a modern RR. Afraid you would have to scratch build them yourself though.
Ran some trains this evening, first in a little while. As Laz would say, no pile ups. Ahh the sweet smell of smoke fluid. :thumb:
Rain and more rain. Sure is good. Now off to bed. Good night all.
Good morning folks
It was a foggy 74 F as I hit the highway this morning. High toady will be 85 F with a chance of heavy rain this afternoon.
We did some running around yesterday to a couple of stores and actually picked-up some Back to School supplies. We had our barbecue yesterday after the rain passed through.
No modeling. I am hoping to get some in this week.
I remember a few days ago all the talk about Williamsburg, VA and vacationing there. Well it looks like there is an outside chance we may be heading down there in August. Nothing definite but the wife found a deal that we are seriously looking at. We were down there the last time back in 2006. If this happens it will be our third trip to Colonial Williamsburg. Of course we have been to Williamsburg area and Virginia Beach just about every other year since we got married.
I hope everybody has a good day.
Good morning all, the rainy weather continues, just cloudy at the moment.
Plumber is here, working on our leak problem. Sawing a hole in the wall at the moment. wall1
Muggy here with a little drizzle. Ran an easy 3.5 miles this morning. Now got to run weed wacker for neighbor lady. Ran trains last nite for an hour, NO PILE UPS.
Is that leak the one that was down in your workshop area when BUCKEYE and I were down to see you? Hope all is well?
GOOD MORNING ALL, I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. The air is already feeling heavy and of course sct. storms forecast for today and tues. Not a lot going on we did what most do on a holiday, had an outing with friends, also had a visit from a friend who moved to Fla. after retirement. Bought some used trains, most need some work but I got one set fixed and ready for a train show. And so it goes,,,enjoy the new week and remember we only have today once....S.J.
Morning all. Back to work. Looks like storms here too - on their way to you next, sir james. Sounds like you made some good purchases.
Morning all. Rain this afternoon. Off to County Commissioners' meeting. Big rezoning thing and lots of people against it [me too].
John, see what happens when you let a Buckeye in your house. Things start falling apart. sign1
I'm the birthday boy today. I'm forty-eight, over the hill and descending the other side.
I've been working my butt off today. First I was down at my parents place helping my father remove an enormous Lady Banks bush from an old garden plot. Took about three hours to do that and drag it over on top of the burn pile. I walked over (what can be called walking for me) to my home and heard the fire dept radio announcing a fire in Evans which is about twenty miles away. I grabbed what I needed and got in the car and didn't spare the horse power getting to the station. Once there I prepped the trucks and got them started then went out on the first one leaving the station. We were just over halfway there when we got the call from 911 to disregard. The fire was under control. From there it was back to the station and my boring life.
Happy Birthday Jeffrey !!!!
Glad you had such a short exercise today! It is probably to hot there to be out fighting fires. I'm sure your efforts are extremly appreciated!!!
balloon6Happy Birthday Jeffrey! You're just a couple years older than I am, so does that mean I'm on the top of the hill now? Doesn't feel like it lately
