My Bachmann DCC reverse loop is giving me problems, when freight cars roll ober it it shorts the train for a second, it has never been a problem before, or at least not with larger cars, what are somethings to look for?
The fact that it has never been a problem before stumps me. When I was having problems with mine, I made sure to offset the gaps so that no single axle crossed both gaps at the same time. Still, if it was working before and won't now... have you changed anything recently? Is your train longer than the reverse loop?
This might sound strange, but I cant remember if it acctually ever did work. In the const. process, I have not been able to test it much. But spacing the gaps sound like the way to go.
Don't offset 'em much. I think my directions called for an 1/8". You might also glean some information from this thread... http://forum.zealot.com/t153220/
While my problem finally turned out to be my power supply, I learned way more about reverse loops than I ever thought I needed to know.
