Which main guideline Architectural model maker should follow?
That's a loaded question. All CAD models are different, and what one may find simple, another may find difficult, the opposite being true just as well. You have to try one, and when you get one, stick with it. I use Rhino3D. I have made buildings with it (small, but real), car parts, models, Renders, you name it, NASA used it to design the Head Shield tiles for the Space Shuttle. I think it is the most intuitive. I see incredible stuff done with Blender, and it is FREE! I can't make a box in Blender though. That is the problem you face.
