Ok, since reading Shamus's oldie-but-goodie brain-bender, I thought I'd offer this one. It really works better if you're there to say it out loud, but we'll try it here.

First, draw this on a piece of paper, then ask: "How can you change this to nine-fifty by just adding one line?"

Since it's not a standard number, but rather one stated in binary cde, one line would change the value and that would do it.

Do you mean 950 or 9.50?
Is the line Vertical or Horizontal?
What type of line is it?
Does maths have anything to do with it?

We know now that it is not binary

2) That would be telling! :p
3) Straight.
4) That would be telling! :p :p

But it's not binary (or octal, or hex).

Yours in obtusity.... ;)

Well, since the answer was practically given away :)curse: :p ) y'all can stop pondering wall1

The answer is to put a straight line across the top of the second 1, so that you get:

10 T0 10.

Cheers!

Hahahaha, thats a great one.

Here's mine: A man lives on the 50th floor, every day he takes the lift down to the ground floor, drives to work then comes back. When he climbs in the lift in the afternoon he only goes up to the 12th floor and then walks the rest of the way, why?
