Update: upon further reflection, I decided that I was not happy with the "fuzzies" on the spokes. So I remade all the rims and tires, and didn't use CA glue on the spokes. The CA glue was causing the "fuzzies", even when I stiffened the thread with other glue.

I now have a much cleaner build...... and only 1 or 2 "fuzzies"

They look good. I might have tried a solid wire guitar string, either nylon or steel. They hold their shape be stretching them, one end affixed to a non moving object, and you pull on the other end attached to a woodenn dowel, you will feel it stretch around an inch and stay that way. That is how you harden the wire, then it is stiff enough to use as a pin. The final picture is too small to really make out, but if you use either Crazy Glue, or any glue that hardens stiff on string, and pull it through your ffingers, (not Crazy Glue), it will take the fiber and close the threads together and form a better looking spoke, which when painted, will have a smoother surface from the glue. Looks pretty good enough. ;)

this is how I normally do it.... but for some reason the CA on white glue was causing the thread to fuzz. It may just have been the type of thread that I was using

They sell rope used for rigging model ships. It comes in all thicknesses. That stuff works best. :)

I edited the thread as it's Alfa "Romeo", not "Romero", which is a quite common mistake. ;)

Update: sorry its been a while. Had to build the exhaust manifold several times to make it work. from the instructions, you cant tell how the pipes are bent, in one photo they look like they are bent up... another look like they are bent down. so I Googled the real one and it look like they are bent up.

However: I ended up building the manifold with straight pipes as to clear the hood sides and top.

Thank you everyone for the kind words and good suggestions.

My Dr. and I are hoping that I don't need anymore radiation. We will know in a few weeks. It irritates my arthritis badly.
But I was able to get a little more finished, mainly the rear end. sorry about the blur, forgot to make sure the lens was clean.
