I don't really have a track plan. I originally did mine on paper and laid it out on the table and made adjustments. I attempted to draw up a quick on. I hesitate to post it because it is VERY poor, but here it goes:
It's basically four independent tracks.
A - Passenger Train running the perimeter of the layout, changes to a higher elevation on the back of the layout.
B - Freight Train that changes elevation.
C - end to end industry train that runs about 27' in total, uses indicator lights on each end to switch direction
D - Local train with one switch
Originally the C Line was a reversing loop for A and B, but I got tried of the switch maintanance and took them out.
The section with the big mountain is 4'x6' and was added last. It uses some 19" curves the rest are 11 3/4" radius.
It really just trains running through scenery with quite a few areas where the trains pass each other closely. The passenger train is usually about 6' and the freight about 7' in length. I generally stick with smaller engines and rolling stock.
