A Couple of Wood Boxcars

    I finished a couple of boxcars I had laying around on the workbench this weekend.

    First is a B&M boxcar.

    MDC/Roundhouse 40' HO Box Car Kit - Truss Side (1037)
    Kadee # 5 couplers

    Weathering
    Drybrush: Folk Art Charcoal Gray (613)
    Wash: Folk Art Charcoal Gray (613) 2 parts; Folk Art Licorice (938) 1 part; thinned 5:1 with blue windshield washer fluid
    Sealer: Testors Dullcoat

    Wheels
    Paint: Americana Burnt Sienna, Folk Art Aspaltum (476)

    Trucks
    Paint: Folk Art Charcoal Gray (613)
    Drybrush: Americana Burnt Sienna, Folk Art Aspaltum (476)

    The second is an Erie boxcar.

    Those are a coupla sweet peas, TPM!

    I think MDC has some really nice rollin' stock kits. I bought a bunch a them old timies on 1/2 price sale last year and they just haven't built themselves yet.

    Very nice! I too appreciate that fact that you have listed the materials that you have used. Wish my dry brushing was a good as what you do!
