    Digital Navy - USS Arizona - 1/100

Wowie, Wow, WOW! Beautiful and very impressive work; this does look like it should be in a museum when done! I was happy to see you had what appears to be a display area in which she can be displayed and enjoyed...I, for one, would hope you will consider (as I'm almost certain you already...

    H.G. Watkins USS Houston question

Excellent start, Vernon! I noticed someone noted the USS New York as one of the Watkins designs, but I don't think I have found it anywhere...I am almost constrained to taking on a very reluctant task at some point down the line of building one from scratch...too many other projects first to...

    H.G. Watkins USS Houston question

Do you mean this one: http://www.modelshipgallery.com/gallery/ca/ca-30/350-ph/ca-index.html Sure would be great if someone would duplicate some of those earlier models that are difficult, if not impossible, to find these days.... Cheers! Jim

    Pending release from Marek

Hi, Everyone! Does anyone know how DeWayne is doing? Has there been any word about the He51 release? Seems this topic has been a bit inactive for a while and I was just wondering if there is anyone with any updates. Cheers! Jim

Wotcher, bazzer! Outstanding job on the chopper, and the other parts of the air wing. Actually a wonderful little model project in themselves! As always, it's a treat to see your progress on this build...keep at it, mate! Cheers! Jim

    USS Tarawa LHA1 1/200

Wotcher, bazzer! Quite an outstanding achievement, Barry, and more to come, I gather! Those choppers really came out brilliantly, adding quite a bit of interest to the overall project...I don't envy you taking all the time to make up so many little gems, but, trust me, it is well worth it...

    USS Selfridge from Gremir

S.M.S. Emden, HMV, rescaled 1:200, self designed hull

Masterful work, Flu! It's great to see the hull come together so well, mate! Not sure what gaps you are referring to, I didn't see any in the photos. Interesting construction on the foredeck structure, can't wait to see how this works out. Keep at it, mate! Cheers! Jim

S.M.S. Emden, HMV, rescaled 1:200, self designed hull

As usual, superb work, Flu! That's quite an amazingly clean and neat looking hull, brilliantly done. The small gun is really an amazing bit of paper modeling magic! I can hardly wait to seem further updates on this build as you proceed! Thanks for posting photos of your excellent...

    USS Tarawa LHA1 1/200

Must be my old eyes, but I don't see much if any rust on that hull! A lot of pipes or other such fittings running up the hull, but no rust... Cheers! Jim

Polish bulk carrier MANIFEST LIPCOWY 1/400 Scale (JSC 093)

I'm always pleased to see JSC continue in it's trend of offering new merchant ships to it's line up, and this latest is no exception. This latest offering is of a bulk carrier and judging from the photos of the model posted on the companies website, this is a real gem! Looks like JSC continues...

    USS Tarawa LHA1 1/200

Wotcher, bazzer! I think that using overlapping plates is a great idea, given the way you have feathered the edges so the seams are nearly un-noticed. As we saw with the Gearing, this seems to avoid the potential bumps along the formers and gives a very nice, almost entirely smooth finish...

S.M.S. Schleswig Holstein, GPM, 1:200, Full hull

Excellent build, Flu!! You should be very proud of this accomplishment; I know I enjoyed seeing the many photos, for which I thank you for posting. A few details I thought should be mentioned; the rigging is really superbly done, you obviously took great care to get such things as how the...

    USS Tarawa LHA1 1/200

Wotcher, bazzer! Looks to me like you have that hull plating for the bow dead on, mate! It lines up plumb with the former, just like you unfolded it to fit. The weathering looks great. I wouldn't have imagined you would see much weathering on an active US Navy ship, but the photo you...

    USS Tarawa LHA1 1/200

Wotcher, bazzer! That view against the door is VERY impressive! Once again, we see how huge this model actually is...HUGE!! Keep at it, mate! And thanks for posting update photos; you are making very rapid progress with her. Cheers! Jim
