I was surfing the ebay trains and saw a 1954 western pacfic box car mint with the box, box was also about mint auction started at 9.99 nr finished today for 1625.00 :eek: all the bidders had high bidding numbers so i guess they know what it was worth, seems like alot of money for 1 boxcar that you cant even play with, maybe its just me, bet those collectors would have a fit if i bought that and adged it like the rest of box cars;) jeff

That reminds me of a couple of years ago I baught Harlie Barbie for my granddaughter. I got it at a special price from a friend who owns a Harlie dealership and repair shop. He let me have it for $30.00. I have spent several weeks on the internet looking for it as my granddaughter asked for one for Christmas. It is a classic and I saw prices from $200.00 to $400.00 for that doll. I told my granddaughter what it was worth unopened and in the box. Guess what she said.
"But Grandpa. It isn't any good unless I play with it".
What could I say?:confused: :confused:
