Any series of Kaddee will work on Accurail cars. You need to use standard length and normal height coupler, but any type will work. The main thing that the different Kaddees are made for is to adapt to various locomotives. The #5's are the most common and least expensive Kaddees, but if you want a scale sized coupler, use the #48's if I remember correctly.
