Ok I found out how to get rid of all the other forums (RC, Stamps, etc) that was making a mess. :) Now I have at least what is very close to the old gauge look. :)
 
Its looking like there is lots of potential to this new look. I have been monitoring all day just hoping to get a look at the new forums and so far i like. SUre there are a few, ok a lot, of things that need to still be set up but otherwise looking good. I know how much work this takes and props to all involved.

When you first open up the gauge you will see a box on top that states Form INDEX , it is in the top center just under the comment announcing this is the new forum look.

I'm having a similar problem. It starts fine, then all of a sudden, it switches to Weird Mode (TM), and my 1600 pixels across aren't enough. :eek:

Hopefully, it's just teething problems.

Hey, I really like the colors now.

Add smileys don't work. Just imagine the 'cool' emoticon that is supposed to be at the end of the last sentence above.

they took away our mailbox space too! last night i had 2 % space used only 98 mass, and now i am 100% full with 70 some mass, over what was aloud. now you only get 50.

what a joke
 
i hate the new colors, its not the "gauge" blue, and not to think that all the members that painted up "the gauge rolling stock " but the colors are that last thing im worried about.


i have to log it 2 times to get in now. and after i get done in a thread i have to click 3 or 4 times to get back to the list of forums to look at another one. before all i had to do is click one time on the "forum" icon at the top of every page and it sent me right back and was refreshed.
 
ok , if they made our mailbox size smaller, did they make the min picture size smaller to? my the smallest setting on my cam, was to big for the site before the "upgrade"

why did it need 'upgraded"? the picture thing was the only thing i found wrong with it before
 
What’s even worse, a lot of the attached files are messed up. You only see ATTACHMENT##### instead of the pic. When you click on the link, most of the time the wrong picture will show up. Another problem: even if I am logged in, I cannot edit some of my posts, only the button "quote" is visible.

… and I am missing my avatar :(

I hope these problems can be fixed.

That's because of the long link farther up in the thread. It's not a problem on the second page.
 
Not that it's any of my business, but did the Gauge get sold, or what? Just curious as to the new place. The server is VERY slow and the new layout is very confusing. What does it mean to "Spurl" a post? Or any of the other stuff? And just what we need, Ebay advertisements, my wallet is hurting already. I am willing to give it time, as with anything new, there is teething issues and you have to get used to it, ok, I'll give it a chance. But so far, this is BAD NEWS. :eek:
 
This is the 3rd time I have tried to replay to this thread. Again, my first impression is that it is more difficult and confusing to navigate around the forums. I especially do not like the fact there are "sponsors" in the left margin to evil-bay auctions. I think it is about $$$$ to support the forum. There's a difference in glancing at paid adverts vs. someone's personal evil-bay auction. I would rather pay member dues to help support this or any other forum than endure constant evil-bay auction links.
I suppose we just need to be patient and let the gurus do their thing before we jump ship.

Just a personal opinion, not necessarily the right opinion.
ps- I hope this makes it through this time!

Tell me about it, I am at about 1500 msgs!! On the old gauge it said I was nowere near the limit, guess it is time to do some house cleaning on my PM's, never though I would have to do that.

I am with most of the others, I don't like this look and it is VERY confusing. I am willing to give Don and Mikey some time to "SAVE" the Guage. I hope you guys make it look like the old gauge did. And what is with the gauge url? Are we going to have to type in something diff to get here now? hope not.

I really hope you guys can make it look just like the old gauge did. I saw no problems with it before exept for the occasional slow times but that did not bother me nearly as much as this new guage does.
