Lysander Mk III (‘‘Lizzie‘‘)
Here she is, the Lizzie, again free to download on my website www.bobscardmodels.com . I was immediately attracted to this WWII plane for 3 reasons:
1. The ladder with white-painted rungs, to aid quick boarding at night by agents, in Occupied France,
2. The fact that only 15km away, is the field on which Flight-Lieutenant John Bridger DFC flying the plane with the registration V9367, during the night of 19-20 March 1943, clandestinely dropped the French hero, Jean Moulin, as well as General Derestraint, and Christian Pineau. This plane is dedicated to all these courageous men, who in part, until torture and death, fought for their country.
3. It’s just a lovely plane!
I’m taking a rest now, until something again attracts me.
