My daughter had a work study job at her university's IT department help desk. She would answer the incoming calls and route them accordingly.

One day a very irate prof called. He wanted to know who General Failure was and why was he reading the prof' shard drive.

The best part is the the prof had already called the ROTC office.

I have no idea of what you are talking about?

The prof was getting a "General failure reading the C: drive" error.

The good news is that he was getting a new computer. The bad new sis that all the files were gone.

She also had a student tell her that they spilled bong water on their laptop. The student submerged the laptop over night so that no one would know that they were doing pot.

And they couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.

You know, if you took that Laptop apart, and really let it dry out, took an airgun and blew dry whatever you could, you might get it back. The laptops are sealed with a special clear protectant that will prevent many parts from being contaminated by water. Bong water is not any worse as far as contamination.
