Weird idea for a layout

Hi LIRR,
Nope, dosen't sound like a bad idea to me. As with most all modelers, it's what ever floats your boat.
Now you should see my track plan. I got 114 feet of HO track in a 5' x 8' logging layout. Now who is nuts here?

Hey train! I'm pretty close to you! my layout is 13' x 18' and looks like the letter "E"
with the top leg being a country community, the middle is the big city and the bottom is the rail yard! I love steam, but anything goes here!! NO set company and no set place!
Everything just runs wild with 111' feet of track. ( and two derailments this week!, forgot to slow down making that country curve, took out two chickens and one dog that was chasing the cow that got put in my ice box the other day!)
