Mark, beautiful steamer. Is is the first picture you post of this engine, or did I miss it?

The best part of posting pics in B&W is that you can re-use ones you already posted in color!
Steve, great idea. If we are lucky nobody will notice :mrgreen:.

"You know...eightyeightfan1's pics are cool the way he puts his models in real life backgrounds. But their always his big modern diesels."

OK....Here's one for the steamer fans. I even black and whited it, in keeping with this weeks "unofficial" theme.

Here's an excursion picture of the 611 and the 765 double heading...just as they did almost 20yrs ago...minus the auxiliary tenders.

There was supposed to be a matching 13 car train...but I could only find 4 of the cars.

Deano...I'm a member of the Teleban. It and my twin reverb get to stay in the dining room while my strats, marshal stack, and all other gear hang out with my HO rolling stock.

Do you have plans to paint something other than SP on that tender?

Gentlemen, I present to you...a tea kettle.

Built in 1871 for the Denver & Rio Grande. Off the books long before the turn of the century. Would make a wonderful model. The D&RG also had some 4-wheel boxcars and gondolas.

The road later replaced them with 4-4-0s and 2-6-0s...and then later these were replaced with the T-12 4-6-0s...two of which survive having been retired before WW2. The T-12s were replaced by the K-28 2-8-2s...three of which survive and operate on the Durango & Silverton.

Well I set up my Ntrak modules with DesMoiNTRAK and took a couple shots while I was at it.
A construction crew working on a new bridge with a shoo-fly in the background.

A train crew decides to chat with the bridge crew while waiting for the green signal.

Thats what I got this week.

Unfortunately no. I picked up the shell at a flea market along with a bag of track and assorted rolling rolling stock pieces for the whopping price of 50 cents. The shell was still on it's original frame and was powered by a pancake motor. I ditched the frame and modified the shell to fit on an Athearn chassis. Some day I'll get around to making some railings for it.

Color is always welcome but I have another B&W. Here the RDC that takes care of passenger service on my layout stops at the Kingsport station right near the steel plant. Not the most picturesque destination!
