I don't know what any of that stuff is. If someone would like to clue us in, I'm sure the group would appreciate it.
 
I don't know, specifically, what any of it is; but I suspect most, if not all, of it is track maintenance equipment. Much of what used to be manual labor by "Gandy Dancers" is now done mechanically by monstrous machines such as you have pictured. The one picture you showed (actually two of them) of the upper part of the cab of what I guess to be the lead unit I though had two GPS antennae on the roof. On closer examination, I think they are transformers on the pole behind!
