You may be right about the date, although several Appalachian RR's did use the old 8-wheelers well into the 1930's!

I agree, the black & white really enhances the mood of the pictures. I might even try that myself.

I love the B&W shots. I just tried it myself but haven't got thte film developed yet. We'll see how they turn out later. Hope they are as impressive as yours, had to take a close look to see if was 1:1 or model.

Those shots were taken with my old digital camera (1.6mp) & the resolution & depth-of-field were never very good...but they're fum to play around with on the computer...I photoshopped in some smoke & steam, removed the color, & then brightened the photos, & removed some of the contrast...this gave them kind of a washed-out look...

Alas, now that I have a much better camera, I no longer have a layout to takepictures of! :cry:

Oh well...I'm trying to remedy that situation!

Actually, the low MP on that camera is what gives the pics that antique look.

Is it real smoke, or did you paint it in?
