Continuing with the undercarriage construction.

I used some 1/4" balsa so I could add a profile to the legs.

a bit of careful carving with the scalpel and some sanding to shape.

I drilled each of the pivots for the legs and pushed cocktail sticks into the holes to get a nicer effect.

The main uprights are pretty strong after I rolled them into a tight tube.

The coil (springs) maybe? I rolled them around the leg to get sufficient thickness I think is was about three turns.

Most of the parts ready to be installed on the body.

I eventually substituted the pack of heavy batteries with a LIPO battery.... much better thumbsup

That's technically a new model You could post patterns for that with the mount of changes you've made to it. The magic number is 10%, which is why there are 100's of P-51 mustang paper models. Looks fantastic. I'd like a night time lit up pic too, and one where it's flying, like Commander Cody, on a couple of wires across a lawn or something. :)

That sounds really great Zathros. There were a great deal of changes with this version of the model. I could post all the additional and modified parts. I keep thinking of new things to add to it. Yes, with the better weather here now that could be a possibility with the flying on wires.
