Type 39/40 Tradis.

Get yourself the vernier calipers, start taking some measurements, and you could make the most awesome paper Tardis model out there. Especially with a model like that. It would be easy to reproduce quite easily!

Nice job, by the way, it does look really real!! :)

I have digital calipers... but no Idea how to transfer the measurements into a paper model.

If you have digital calipers, and a way to measure the angles, the rest is simple geometry. You could also cut strips and squares of paper, match them to their proper place, and figure out a pattern, and do it that way. I was talking to Silveroxide and we both apparently did the same thing when we were kids. We used to copy airplane plastic models and make paper gliders out of them. :)

I was thinking digitally... I have no 3d software or knowledge... I never considered doing it the "old fashioned way"

All I have to do now is get some good pics and post it to the contest before 31Jan13.

The model and base are finished. not a bad job not perfect but not bad.

Whether you do the model or not, you sir, have much knowledge. 3D is just from doing it, it isn't particularly hard, especially if you know how to read vernier calipers, and I kid you not! :)

Ok finally got some good pics in natural light and got them sent off to StarShip Modeler web site for the online contest.
