We found a light crowd this afternoon at the Collis P Huntington train show here in he great Kanawa Valley

Could it be the price of gas?

The Circus is in town and have reported light turn out since Thursday. Who knows.

There were plenty of venders and a fellow from whom I bought 5 new in the box coal hoppers from told my wife I just made him break even on the cost of his table. These were HO, I didnt buy an O gauge this year, it is just two costly. Most unreasonable. Seems the same guys with the same beat up junk and the same 3 prices on every item are all ways there and usually with the same stuff.

Nonetheless I had fun, got some things I needed for but a few bucks and got some cute pics of kids.

The layouts were club layouts for the most part, a few G Gauge and the rest N and HO.
It was at W Va State COLLEGE, ha ha ha .(inside joke)

The hot dogs smelled good but Bubbette wouldn't let me have one.

I bought an HO building very similar to one on the CSX property at Clifton Forge Va that I am going to take apart and rebuild to resemble it.

I think I mentioned I got 5 coal hoppers, Reading Railroad, 2 or 3 flats and 2 log cars w/load. All $2 and $3 cars. As it happends I was looking for flats to mont my loader on and for log loads.

I also got a C&O/B&O button, not a repro.

It wasn't York by any means but it was a nice change of pace and it beat getting ripped off on ebay for the same items.

ezdays

Out AZ way
Looking really like you could have a great time there. A lot more setups than any shows we normally have around here, execpt for one outdoor show. I can see where the kids would be the focus.

Thanks for sharing those pictures. Post a pic of the stuff you got there.
