@micahrogers , I'm not sure if I'm going to rebuild the E, since the one I built 2 years ago is still going strong 
The "Stealth Enterprise" is taking shape..! Great jobs so far, mate!
Because of the curved design the ship was sometimes referred to as the "Stealth Enterprise".

The "E" was designed for speed. Just thinking about it, Voyager shares the design and looks a bit like a chibi version of the "E".

Speed was from the new higher efficiency warp engines.
I have my Voyager next to the E, and you can see the design principles in Voyager explored in the E. I'll post a picture when I get home
I remember read somewhere that the Voyager, and E-E were designed around the same time. Voyager was in preproduction as was First Contact, when the two designeres saw each others design they both smiled and said "no more weak neck"

You know, we always use to wonder who had to clean all the windows in "D".
As for Voyager, am I the only one who thought it was shaped too much like a speculum? I also thought the "stair master bridge design, where the officers, in moving around it, had to up some steps, down some steps, up some steps, down some more steps, up some-

And here we have the lower saucer, just windows and greebles to go. lots of greebles....
