Thanks for the tip. Anything will help at this point. Gonna try again starting this weekend. Anyone who has done a BSG model have a recomendation?
Please promise me you won't use that Blackbird model, its incredibly innacurate
i generally use 44lbs stock with most everything i do. its stiff enough to be sturdy and thin enough to work with. sorry for the fragmented posts. but the thoughts just wont come all at once.
...As for scoring; For my folds I was holding the piece up to the light so I could see the fold line, placing a staight edge along it and folding while still in my hands, that is, I wasn't placing it on a surface then folding. Not sure this is a good way of doing things, but I was worried that once I got it on a table that my straight edge would move and I wouldn't be lined up correctly.
How do you guys ensure that your straight edge is aligned properly with out holding up to the light?

Sj: Looks damn good mate! And btw, you bear more than a passing resemblance to a guy I met when I worked at Grand Canyon National Park. (Minus the green hair) Your name wouldn't happen to be Ben, would it?
Hello all sorry for being away so long wonderfull to see this thread has grown. Began work on an updated viper 2. In case I don't finish it before I deploy here are some pics to go by, and the files so far. I need to work on the seat some more it's angle is wrong. Will worry about that when I finish skinning the model. So far all the major structure looks fine, the only major parts left are the aft wheel wells and lower cooler ribs. I am working at 160% scale of the files attached for a length just shy of 15 inches
