Hello all.
This one is my birthday present from my wife. I took her down to Kennesaw for breakfast at Golden Corral, and we went to HobbyTown USA there. She asked the manager there, what I would like for my birthday, The manager there knows me, and showed her a couple kits, and she picked this one.

Box top,

and side with the Ambar Rifle.

It's been sitting in the closet waiting for my birthday on 20Jun2022, and I took it out and got a few pics of the box, no I haven't opened it, no I won't open it till Monday.

I was under the weather yesterday, so today is the opening...
I opened the box by removing the normal Bandai 2 crossed plastic bands, but found the hobby store had added a piece of tape.

Three bags of sprues, I decal sheet in the third sprue bag, and a real Cloth cape! In its own bag.

One translation sheet for the symbology used in the instructions.

And a fold out instruction booklet with 4 faces full color.

I can already see I need to go get a Molotow Chrome pen to add some details to this one.

This is the standard kit without chrome plating, right? If yes, it will do. I was a bit disappointed when I saw the first pictures of the other kit because the chrome was not as shiny as Phasma's. The effect of the plating can be achieved with paint, so the regular kit is a good choice. And it is cheaper, of course. ;)

I have heard good things about this pen. I have one as well. However, I have not had the opportunity to try mine out yet. I look forward to see this turns out.

It's Mando Monday again! YAY!

I heard that you could even brush the liquid chrome on. Just pump out something of the chrome and apply it with a brush. I don't know if it works but if you want to experiment with it, this is the way. ;)

Nice! I would test everything on a piece of sprue or leftover piece just to get the feel of it. It would not be good to ruin a part. This kit is expensive.

Three good options, If you zoom in you can see the different effects.

From left to right on the sprue between the dented thigh plate, and the Bsekar spear.
Molotow Chrome pen, Vallejo Liquid Silver, and Vallejo Metal Air Steel.

The Molotow is a very bright, and smooth chrome look. The Vallejo Liquid Silver is a close match for the sprue color, and the Vallejo Metal Air Steel looks to be a good accent color.

Yea, I agree. Guess that means I gotta get the refill, so I can airbrush it...
