Sulaco 1/700

After about a 2 years break I'm back on my first papercraft: Jans beautiful Sulaco. But I downscale it to 1/700 to match more my display space. Here some pics of the procress so far. I am building on Group 22 at the moment. Unfortunately I had to change my printer for last 1/3 of the sheets, so there is a slithly colour difference...

Group 22 finished. Started the hangar. I will use the addon with the option to build it with open doors.
Also trying to get the tiny dropship together...

Very nice. I enjoyed the build of the larger version a lot - and got a gold with it in the papermodels category of the SpaceDays 2014 SF modeling exhibition. Yours is looking like a winner, too!

THX Marco. I don't need a award - for me its gold to get this beast finished…
The hangar section is in place (without the doors) and the dropship is build. I'm not sure how to display it. In the hangar or "droped" outside.

thanks zathros, thx skoda - I like your BIG version of the model very much. (More than 2 x bigger than my version)
Finished the left canon group and starting the reactor…
I find it more and more difficult to handle the finished part without damaging it while a try to attach new group parts.
I've planed to display the model hanging on strings, so I don't mind about a stand. Seems that I need one to build it up proper…

The ractor part is in work.
I cut off all the flaps from the parts of the cylinders. The circle parts are laminated to a thicker card board to give the parts more strength. Also it makes the build up much easier.
