Just had a look at this thread again - forgot just how good your display of TB-2 looked my friend. I am working on a up-scale of this one to go with TB-1. Will post some up when i get around to it. Yours is a great looking dio, looks like a scene from the series for sure, and Gerry would be very pleased to see his creations kept alive through you... and not forgetting the guy who made this all possible, our Mr Gary Pilsworth - Thanks you for everything Gary.

I think Pete is building Gary's model again at this very moment which may mean that at long last and against all odds the Stingray thread might actually have a Stingray model in it!
could ruin the whole theme of the thing but will shall have to wait and see.I know there is supposed to be a UFO film in the works as well as a new Thunderbirds series,Captain Scarlet had a new CGI series,killed off by the poor scheduling so how about a new Stingray? with all the environmental issues at the moment and terrorism to put into the mix it seems like a perfect time to bring the old girl out again,or how about a feature film? Zathros has already found our Marina.

YES, She'll do alright. Of course, with all the water scenes, we'll have to have a mandatory bikini scene or 2 or 200! I found quite a few, but not one i think I could post here.

Quite right Mr Wright, sir paperlots Stingray is in the process of being made, and i haven't UP-SCALED her :cry: i'll post her up when all done, but here's her inside structure to keep you going :twisted: Part of the "Slotted Spine with Formers" tutorial i am making at present, hence the wording on yon piccys !

It's my pleasure - gives our Gary the justification for all his efforts. Gary has been a friend from way back, and he's always made us guys happy with all of his designs. Life is too serious, and this thread takes us all away from that - Big kids with PROPER childhood memories worth keeping, and well worth sharing, i thank God that i was born in a time when Gerry and Silvia Anderson produced the best darn TV programmes EVER, this makes me VERY proud indeed. Long live Gerry, and what ever happens you can be sure we FANDERSONS will always be here making the things that he made - OUR CHILDHOOD :thumb:

It was all of those Gerry Anderson Puppets that made me wish to go to England so bad. Spent 2.5 months there in Salford, in the Summer of '73. I was 16 at that time. I think I got to see a very different England. I got to drink a few Beers at Tommy Ducks in Manchester, before it was razed to but up a big building, and enjoyed Fish 'n Chips @ 12p, what a steal!!

Well i gave the model a quick build to see how she blows. I used only cheap card stock for the build - i have ran out of the good quality. The model isn't too bad, but needs some work doing on the design. She need tidying up a wee bit. The front end {globe} needs serious work - if i get some time, and the designer doesn't mind {i will ask} i will give it a MAKE OVER - the globe front could do with being a PETAL type of structure to make a smoother appearance - or a ping-pong-ball could be substituted. Lots of areas for up-grades, but i have just built this so she can be seen AS IS ! Like i say, with some extra time and effort, good old S.I.D could most certainly be made into a super model... all the panels could be 3D and other refinements. Hope you like the piccys - Sorry about the clutter on the rear view, but had little time to mess about. I will come back to this and give her some love and care, i will up-load the up-grades as soon as they are available for everyone here to have a crack at. Regards. Pete.

I haven't been as active as i would have liked to be in this place, but i must say that you have done some great things in this Stingray forum/thread. I am hoping to build something myself soon for you all. Great stories and a delight to behold. This is what caught my eye when i first joined up here. Keep up the good work. Back to you.
