Hi guys,
until now I only built ships of the Rebel Alliance and forgot to make ships of the Empire.
This changes now: Tie Fighter from Shunichi Makino - a beautiful model - thanks for sharing.

As I checked the parts I have to state that it is a very detailed model. Only thing missing is the
cockpit - but mayby there will be some day a revised version as from the A-Wing.

So lets go:

Hi starbuck,

it is great model, I will be watching :).

I do not think he will add cockpit anytime soon, because this is revised edition (from year 2017). But you can try to use cockpit from UHU tie-interceptor.

So lets go:
I think that UHU02's Tie Interceptor (which does have a cockpit interior) is the same scale as Shunichi's Tie Fighter. So, you might be able to use the cockpit interior from the Interceptor for the Fighter.
I am looking forward to seeing how your build turns out!!!

Check out this link. This Tie Fighter has an interior. A couple of versions. Better models over all IMHO. ;)

Thank you for posting this link. I completely forgot about these ones. @loenf did a GREAT JOB with the retexturing of both the Tie Fighter and the Tie Interceptor!

@ thx for the ideas for the cockpit.
It is hard to combine any of the suggested cockpits with this model, as the axis for the wings is going through the cockpit in this version.
So for the moment I will do this model as it is delivered.

Uhus Interceptor is on my to do list and I think about making two kind of wings the interceptor wings and the tie wings.
I also know the models of Ninjatoes and Leonf, which are also on my much too long to do list.

You can see the axis what I ment. Sure it would be possible to cut it and to mount it on the left and right side to be able to insert the cockpit, but for the moment I am fine with this version.

Whatever floats your boat, you've already started the one your on. I just posted it for future's sake, and in case anyone was looking for a slightly more technical version. ;)

Level of outside details is about the same in both models in my opinion. Ninjatoes/Loefn has interior where Makino has none. Makino has very detailed and faithful textures witch can serve as a perfect base for every greeble enthusiast (like Rhaven Blaack :))

I think this model is rather fast and easy to build, but shows enough details to be a model which is worth finding a place on the shelf. The other ones (Ninajoes/Loefns and UHUs) are more detailed and mayby more difficult to build - but sure worth to be build and on my to do list.
I find it useful to start with the most easy model to get a feeling for the parts. I also did with the X-Wing and my final version was the Imcold X-Wing with interior.
(...and only the best model remains on my shelf. The others are given away for free to litte Star Wars Fans.)

So final pics. As always I have some white paper flashing. As this model is grey I use my graphite (which I also use for my drawings) to hide them. The graphite is also used to weather my models.

Very funny, very fast build.IMG_7243.jpg

I See. I also did the rebel fleet first before thinking of making ships of the empire. But - without the empire it would only be "star" and no "wars";)
Still on my to do list the B-Wing, the Y-Wing and the Moldy Crow. But sure also some of the ships of the dark side.
