I got an SD70MAC with a squeak somewhere but after it ran in circles on a display track for 5 hours it was gone and the locomotive ran even quieter than before. The squeak hasn't returned yet. If you do decide to lube be very sparing as a little goes way farther than you would think. Make sure it is plastic compatable (it should say on the label).
