Spaceballs the Eagle 5 (Butch Price)

Here is a fast one. Not quite ridiculous speed as we all know.
Model number 3 for me.
Kept it quite simple but it is meant as a present for my dad.
The bumpers were my first challenge at this stage. To fold them together more or less even and tight. Could be better

That air conditioner was one small thingy for me. I guess one of many small thingies in the future if I keep up with paper modelling.


Stabilized the wings with additional paper


Was not sure about the wheel wells


But put them on somehow. Shortened the "springs"
on the rear:

And the front:

Seems to be a little bit too high/raised (the wells), but with the wheels it looks o k.

It was a fast and fun build. One could probably greeble the schwartz out of it.
Like adding frames for the windows, darken the windows and glueing plastic foil on top of it and such.

But until then may the schwartz be with you

I own a 24' motor home. It's an old one, but only has 40K miles on it. I love Spaceballs, firstly, because it's funny, but when I first saw the motorhome, I laughed my a$$ off! Nice little guy you have there. That's my motorhome at the Groton, Ct. Submarine base, when I was visiting the Nautilus.

You did a GREAT JOB on this project!
I like the idea of using additional cardstock to stiffen the wings. Too right you are in saying that "One could probably greeble the schwartz out of it."

Thank you. I used 120g paper and perhabs could be sufficient for the wings but I wanted to be sure and to try out.

Tomorrow I will give the model to my father so there is no time left to greeble unfortunately.
