I really like the way the Hanger bay came out. I'd use some white glue to fill the gaps, other than that, those pictures are much larger than life. You have kicked ass on so many of the details, you could go so much thinner with the wires though, it allows for easier series, or series parallel soldering. I guess you work with what you have. I scavenge wiring, if I don't use it, I have a tool I made and cut a slit in the plastic and pull out the Copper. A metal salvage company not far from me pays big bucks for it, top dollar. Copper is quite the commodity today, as is aluminum, or for you minority groups, "aluminium". :bulgeeye::sticktongue::smoker::drinksmile::explode::hide:

That was a great thread you offered and the idea had been excellent for quality building!

Did you ever come up with a formula for the best mix of paper dust and glue? Or for the thinning of the glue with water?

Thank you very much for the kind words! I am glad that you like both the tutorial and the idea. Actually, I figured that the person that is using it can mix it to his/her needs. That is basically what I do. There have been times where I have needed something really think and really thin for the same model.
So just "eyeball it" as it were.

Finished the sensor dish that sits underneath the saucer

I then began the support structure for the saucer. Straight forward "cut & paste" stuff :) I added a 30cm ruler for scale purposes

You mix it to the consistency that you need. Like I mentioned in my last post, there have been times where I have needed something really think and really thin for the same model.
As for colour matching, you can add the coloured paint that you wish when mixing it or just paint over it. I have done both and both have worked well.
