Harold...great detective work in hunting down that 'just right' look! The result is very much like rotting bark. I can imagine pulling some of that off and finding grubs, termites, etc. living underneath!

However, the cut ends of the logs look too clean for me, personally. Perhaps you could add some splits and gaps, maybe even a rotten center or two? Still, what you've already accomplished is by far some 'extra mile' modeling! Thanks for sharing.

Great technique! This is definitely one to reference! The parts that look like fungus on the cut ends of the logs look fantastic. :thumb: :thumb:

Just one question - is this fine enough for HO scale, or is it more of an O scale technique?
