Sherese's Deringer (Silver version)

As many of you know, I conducted a beta test build of the model of Sherese's Deringer (from the two part BRTC25 episode "THE PLOT TO KILL A CITY") as part of the Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers Props collection. Recently, @Revell-Fan found an article on an old website for "BUCK ROGHERS IN THE 25TH CENTURY" that had shown a sliver version of this weapon.
As you can see by the picture below, this weapon was suppose to be featured in the episode "CRUISE SHIP TO THE STARS". However, after close review of the episode, I did not see this weapon in the episode (or any other episode for that matter).


Building it is just like the original model. There are only two sheets of parts and three pages of instructions.

I started with the clear acrylic "beam emitter crystal". I used a thick sheet of blister packing (Like I did with the first one).






I also built the stand (Other than some of the wording, there is no change from the first one.)

Here is the assembly of the main body.
Starting with the internal formers for the main body of the weapon.


The internal formers are assembled.


Here are the components for the slide mechanism.


The slide mechanism is is complete (Yes, the slide does move make and forth).


Here are the main components for the body.




The main body of the derringer is complete.


Here are the components for the back rest and the trigger.


The back rest is assembled.


The back rest is attached in place.



The trigger is attached in place.


Here are the parts for the beam emitter and mounting piece.


The mounting piece is attached in place.


The beam emitter crystal is attached in place.




The Derringer is now complete!
