Shambling Mound, 28 mm scale mini by Wizkids

I started this mini on Saturday, and totally forgot to take any in progress pics till this morning. It is a very nice and detailed sculpt, Stands about 3 inches tall, and sits on a 2 inch base. In D&D the Shambling Mound is an Evil pile of animated vegetation, created by Vile magicks for evil purposes.

here it is with the first layer of color added to the "woody" parts.

then this morning I took a pic before I started vegetating it.

While waiting for the clock to tell me to go to my Pain Management appointment is made some grass tufts of my own.


Got home and added rocks and grass to the base, and some of the grass to the Mound.

and the beauty shot as it sits now, waiting for glue to dry.

All color coats done, and final vegetation on, tomorrow all should be dry enough for final flat coat.

I now have a Shambling Mound mini! clear flat applied, and pics taken outside in natural mid morning sun.



The grass tufts are hand made, and only my second try at them. Better than my first try, but still....
The next ones will be better.
