I never got around to doing it, but this website has instructions for making a very simple one that could be made into a paper model, but this is so functional, it is quite a work all on it's own!

Where there's a will, there's a way......... That is pretty innovative, using a CD jewel case and a CD to make a sextant.........

I bought a real one. I'm going to try to figure a way, with my very limited computer skills, to see how to make up a design to share. I'll let you know.
