Schwan II

Great idea. :D

I saw in a previous post that you have the detail kit (Ätzteile?). Will you use the strips for railings? How thin can you cut a strip that is still usable? I have used a mat cutter and very thin strips curl quite a lot.

Hi Alfred-

I cheated and saw your Bauberichte on the kartonbau.de forum. Looking very nice. The Schwan has come a long way! The winches are tough to build.

Hi Alfred

Good to see her comeing together, looks great.
Can't wait for your next up date

Bill

If you cut very thin strips and they curl, run them through damp fingers (not wet) and put them under your cutting mat overnight. They will come out fine then. I use a ribbon cutter for mine, I will dig it out and post a photo soon

Thanks Rob,

That's a good idea. :D :D I had tried the suggestion posted somewhere on this forum about using steam to assist in rolling masts and gun barrels, so this makes a lot of sense. I also like the irony of using paper's two mortal enemies water and fire to make it bend to my will!!

Hello Cardmodellers,

I have buy from Halinsky the Ship 1:200 "Jeremiah O`Brien" the Condtruction beginning the next Time.

This Ship is a very great Construction of the Amercan Poeple at the WW II.

I hope me Constructon of the Jeremiah O`Brien is also very fine.

Regards
Alfred
